MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The Christ Church Men’s Bible Study is made up of a vibrant group of men from all ages and backgrounds. We meet on Saturdays every two weeks in the Church Library from 8:30-10:00am. If you are serious about growing in your faith, you need to know what God’s word says, and you need to learn to apply it to your life. Over the past few years, we have followed our hearts around the Bible. We don’t use a formal outline and we move from book to book, reading Scripture aloud and discussing the text. It’s great to be with a bunch of guys who speak their mind with gentleness and respect. We have a great time. Ask any of our members! Leaders: John Schaeffer/Charlie Hamill
PRAYERS AT THE ALTAR
Each Sunday, after the service, a member of the clergy remains near the altar to offer an opportunity for those who desire prayers to come forward and receive prayer.
SOUL SISTERS
The Soul Sisters is a circle of mothers with infant to school aged children. We have monthly meetings for fellowship and discussion on parenting in Christian principles. Additionally, we coordinate the annual Easter baskets for the children at Hearth, as well as, Storytime with Santa. We also are a support group in offering meals to new mothers once mother and baby are home from the hospital.
STEPHEN MINISTRY
The Stephen Ministry is a national, ecumenical, lay ministry program that is designed to empower parishioners to become pastoral caregivers for each other. Members of the Stephen Ministry have taken a twenty-three week training program to prepare them for long term pastoral needs. This parish has many gifted lay caregivers who already exercise an effective ministry. The Stephen Ministry program is designed to enhance the existing pastoral care provided by the members and the clergy of the parish. Ministry Leader: Deacon Christine McIlvain
WOMEN IN DISCIPLESHIP
Women in Discipleship is in its 7th year of study. Discipleship is not just studying the scripture, but applying the principles to our daily lives. It is developing a personal relationship to Christ, learning who God is, committing to serve Him, and a readiness to live under His authority. It is a relationship. Beginning September 19, we will work on a 6-week study of the Book of Ruth. Leader: Deacon Christine McIlvain
