Reflections of Peace on Earth: Day One – P is for Peace
“P” is for Peace
Peace on Earth has rarely been a more universal goal than today as Christians across the globe prepare for the arrival of Christmas Day.
Yet for millions the concept of achieving peace on earth appears only a remote possibility given the reality of the terrorist actions which have occurred. For millions more the concept of finding peace in our far too hectic days simply preparing for Christmas remains a challenge.
But for you, my friends, I pray my humble thoughts over the coming days that God will grant you some level of peace, and in particular, the peace gained in prayer as we reflect on what is truly the greatest present of all: God’s love manifested in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
On this first day of reflections, let us remember the miracle of Jesus birth; a miracle which fulfilled the thousand years of Old Testament prophecy. A miracle which began God’s plan to truly bring peace on earth. Let us remember the words of Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in the Highest, and Peace on Earth to all whom God is pleased.”
